Sharing Saturday: Free Meal Planning Template

It’s Sharing Saturday again. This Saturday I want to share a tool that I use weekly to help me with organization. This is especially important with school approaching and busy weeks ahead! Want this free meal planning template? Sign up here for my email list, and it will appear in your inbox!

Planning is PRETTY powerful. I like to say “If you fail to plan, you’re planning to fail”. You have to plan for those sticky situations, especially if you’re busy. When school starts, it’s always important for me to prep my food on Sundays. When I get back from a long day at school or the coffee shop, I like to have my dinner cooked already. I can heat it up, enjoy dinner, and either study some more or get to sleep (usually it’s sleep!).

So this is how you use this Meal Planning Printable. Sunday comes. You browse my pinterest board, or my recipe index, and pick out what you want to cook for the week. You fill in the blanks for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks, and then fill in the shopping list to meet the menu.

Here’s some ideas!

Breakfast: Quiche, Egg Scramble

Lunch: Chicken Salad Wraps, Egg Salad, Mexican Lettuce Wraps

Dinner: Flank Steak, 2 Ingredient Chicken, Meatballs

Then you can post this nifty tool on your fridge and you won’t get off track! It’ll also help you budget and save money on food. It will keep you from getting in a hungry rut and buying take-out or fast food. I’ve been guilty of being so hungry at school, with no plan, and spending $3 on a fruit and nut bar. Yes it may have been Paleo, but if I would’ve planned ahead, I could’ve saved a few bucks and had a more filling meal!

How to Study for Step 1

I must have googled “How to study for Step 1” hundreds of times during my second year of medical school. The test was daunting to me, and all I wanted was to do well enough to have a chance at a competitive specialty, like Dermatology. My goal was to get above a 250 on Step…

Thank you for this, Monica! I have been struggling lately with stress from getting busier, and I have been failing to plan…which leads to takeout and eating junk. This should help me get back on track!
