Walnut Butter Recipe

Are you a nut butter addict? I go thorough my phases with nuts! Sometimes I love almonds, sometimes walnuts, sometimes pistachios, sometimes I hate nuts all together. It really depends on the week. One week when I was loving on walnuts, I decided to make this walnut butter recipe.

Bored with almond butter? Try this walnut butter recipe! A great Paleo snack with apples or other fruit.

What’s the secret to making homemade nut butter? Time. It’s all about timing. My roommates and I have figured out 12 minutes is the perfect time to make any nut butter. All you have to do is add 2 cups of your favorite nuts to a food processor, then turn it on for 12 minutes. Simple, right? Toppings? Salt, cinnamon, cocoa powder. Some people may want a little bit of honey, but I don’t find this necessary. If you find you need an oil, you can use coconut oil to make it creamier. Here’s an article about why coconut oil is an incredibly healthy ingredient.

People always ask me for Paleo snacks. Put a tablespoon or two of nut butter with an apple and TA-DA, a Paleo snack. I love bringing nut butter and apples to lunch. Making your own nut butter will save you a ton of money, and you can try cool flavors like this Walnut Butter Recipe.

Looking for another recipe? Try my Naked Almond Butter. Some people get major stomach aches from almonds. If you just remove the skins (make it naked), it could make a huge difference.
