We’ve all had one of those nights. The ones where we are planned on stopping it at two or three drinks, but somehow it ended up being one more drink than we planned. We wake up feeling not our best, and some of us google “Hangover cures”, or maybe in your case “Hangover Smoothie”. Either way, you’re looking for a little lift in your mood, and this Hangover Smoothie will do it.
So what goes in this hangover smoothie? Superfood greens, frozen blueberries, a banana, coconut water, lemon, and ginger. Greens and blueberries for powerful antioxidants, banana for potassium, coconut water for potassium and hydration, lemon to aid in detox, and ginger for anti-inflammatory properties. These health benefits are pretty well known (But as you know I’m not a doctor (yet!), but this combo works for me).
This smoothie can definitely help a hangover, but the only real hangover cure is just.. don’t go crazy when you go out. If you want to be able to do it all, meaning have a social life and a successful work life, you have to learn how to drink less and still have fun! Maybe this isn’t relevant to you, or maybe it is, but I’m in college and it’s just part of our lifestyles to go out a lot. I’m not going to be a hermit, I love a cocktail party, fun bar or party, but I watch how much I drink, and I still pursue and go for my dreams and goals the next day. So students, you can have a 4.0 and still have a social life, I promise.

Hangover Smoothie
Ingredients
- 3 cups spinach
- ½ cup coconut water
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ½ banana
- ½ inch of ginger root
- ½ lemon juiced
Instructions
- 1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend!
