Not a salad person? Here are my favorite tricks on how to make salads taste better. If you do just one of these 3 tips, go with number 1!
1) Buy a salad chopper.
I am not kidding when I say this is my favorite and most used tool in my kitchen. I know I’m not the only one who hates making a salad and then having about 4 bites of food because my lettuce is so huge. Breaking up pieces with your hands gets so annoying, especially if you have already been chopping everything else. SOLUTION: SALAD CHOPPER. Throw in a few handfuls of lettuce, all your favorite toppings (unchopped), and chop away!! I absolutely love this thing. It has saved me so much time, and it has made salad eating so much more enjoyable.
2) Remove Processed Foods.
That’s a big demand for some people, but if you want to start really liking vegetables and fresh food, you have to remove the garbage food. When you are so used to over-stimulating, addicting foods, you barely taste the flavors of real food. I’ve experienced this first hand multiple times. In the beginning I would get off track often, and every time I did I wondered why the healthy stuff stopped tasting as good. The cleaner I eat, the better my food tastes!
3) Get a killer (and healthy) salad dressing!
For a while I was taking the time to make homemade dressings like my Caesar dressing, which is delicious by the way, but sometimes you may not have the time. Healthy salad dressings are hard to find, but I’ve found a brand that I ADORE. Tessemae’s dressing! Lemon garlic is my favorite flavor, by far. They also have condiments, which are really good too!
That is all! If you do these 3 things, I guarantee your salad life will change. You may be craving them daily, like me!
P.S. Tessemae’s is not sponsoring this post. I just love their products and their company. If I wasn’t going to medical school I’d totally look at working for them because they look like they have SO much fun making healthy salad dressing!

Love the salad chopper idea! We have a salad bar restaurant in my area called Chop’t and they use something similar after you select your toppings. It’s pretty fun. Tessemae Lemon Chesapeake is my favorite dressing. 🙂

Oooh how nice! I think that salad bar concept is becoming more popular. I haven’t tried the Chesapeake yet, it’s still sitting in my pantry.
