Paleo Sangria Recipe

It’s party time! My birthday was last week, so today I thought I’d share my Paleo Sangria Recipe.

 Paleo Sangria Recipe

Grapes are a fruit, fruit is paleo, sooo wine is Paleo? Is that how it goes? Not quite, but sort of! It’s one of those foods that you must first ask, “What are my goals?” and then decide how much you are going to consume. If it’s to lose weight or maintain a lifestyle, the answer will be different. Personally I’m in college, and cheating on non-paleo food isn’t worth it to me. But if I’m going to drink alcohol it will most likely be wine (or tequila!).

If you are currently trying to lose weight or are new to eating Paleo, I would stay away from alcohol for now. In the College Primal Challenge I encourage to try and drink less than 8 drinks a month for optimal results and weight loss. But this is a lifestyle choice, and some people won’t give up their glass of red a night. It’s up to you, but know that YOUR food choices affect YOUR results.

So enough preaching… What’s this good stuff made of? The ingredients are simple. White wine, grapes, oranges, and strawberries! Let the fruit soak in all the wine for an hour or two and then enjoy! Some occasions deserve celebration. So when you do decide to drink this, enjoy every sip!

Ingredients:

Chopped fruit & White wine

Directions:

Soak fruit in wine for an hour or two!

How to Study for Step 1

I must have googled “How to study for Step 1” hundreds of times during my second year of medical school. The test was daunting to me, and all I wanted was to do well enough to have a chance at a competitive specialty, like Dermatology. My goal was to get above a 250 on Step…
