Happy Sunday Everyone! I’m excited today to share with you a project my friend, Lauren Partain, made about my site. If you enjoy it, make sure to comment or share it with your friends!
Lauren also posted a video of how to cook my Asparagus Salad recipe. It’s a super simple recipe, but for those who are lacking in the kitchen department, check it out!
My groceries this week were about the same as usual. Except this week, I bought about 10 Lara Bars for those times when I’m hungry and need a Paleo-friendly, on the go snack! I also bought 5 bags of frozen broccoli, for steaming. At the time, I was pretty hungry (which explains why I bought too much food… never go to the grocery when you’re hungry!), so I made myself a quick salad at the salad bar. A 5$ dinner out is a win in my book. Lastly I got bananas, mangos, asparagus (for my salad), and sweet potatoes. Since I keep meat in the freezer and healthy fats (oils) in the pantry, I’m set!
Note that this bill may seem expensive, but it does not have to be. There are so many resources for minimizing costs at the grocery. Here is one of my favorite blogs. Also realize that I do not go out to eat, so spending $65 on food for a week comes out to about $10 a day. Which is less than any restaurant!
This week has not been my best as far as workouts. My body felt weak, and I needed some recovery time. I still managed to get in a few; here they are.
