We all want to be healthy and happy! It’s in our nature. Here’s 8 Tips a Healthier You.
I love to talk about food, mostly because I think it’s 80% of the equation when it comes to health, but here’s 8 other tips I find vital to our well being.
- Sleep more. When it comes to health, sleep is so important. If you aren’t getting enough sleeping or sleeping at the right time, your hormones will be out of whack, which causes weight gain. Ever not get enough sleep and feel hungry the next day? Because your hunger hormones are up, and your satiated hormones are suppressed.
- Stress less. Stress can cause all kinds of damage to your body and health. Take a chill pill (figuratively of course), and consider starting meditation, such as yoga.
- Move more. Walk, hike, bike, dance, just find what you like to do. Look at my exercise post.
- Lift heavy things. Look for compound movements when it comes to weight training. Don’t be afraid to lift heavy.
- Play more. Play games, play a sport, challenge yourself, challenge your family or friends, and have fun.
- Get sunlight. It’s so important to get your Vitamin D. If you don’t get enough sunlight, make sure to take a Vitamin D supplement. Read my nature post too!
- Be social. Make time for your friends and family. You’ll be happier if you surround yourself with happy people. Surround yourself with motivated people and you will succeed as well.
- Be creative. Find that side of your brain that creates things. Find something you enjoy doing that will take your mind away from the world. Whether that be dancing, photography, painting, or any form of art. When we immerse ourselves in creativity we discover a new sense of happiness.
